Identity Affirmation Workshop is based in the Castro District of San Francisco, California.

We work to ensure that all trans, non-binary, two-spirit, third gender, and gender non-conforming people are able to legally change their names and/or gender markers to affirm their identity. 

Identity Affirmation Workshop

Identity Affirmation Workshop (IAW) was created by San Francisco-based non-binary attorney Alexis Levy. It is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States with the sole purpose of assisting people change their names and gender markers.

IAW provides full-scope, pro bono legal services to all our clients. This means that you do not need to pay any money to access these legal services.
