Identity Affirmation Workshop is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the United States with the sole purpose of assisting people change their names and gender markers.

Rather than provide a variety of services, IAW was created to ensure that anyone who wants help updating their name and/or gender marker can access help. Name and gender changes are the only thing we do, and we do it well!

IAW will never turn away a client. We do not screen based on income. We are also proud to help people under the age of 18 who have the consent of their parents or guardian.

Donations to Identity Affirmation Workshop are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our operations, including middle-income fee assistance, and our ability to expand services to other states are dependent on your donations!
